Lockarm: The Ultimate Video Game

In 1989, Nintendo Power released the results of a contest to design a video game. Lockarm was the winner, but there were never any plans to put it into production. But what an awesome game this would have made. Hell, with all the indie titles coming out these days, you'd think someone would find this guy and get this shit happening.

Lockarm seems like it would have drawn on all the classic video game tropes: cemetery, city, and desert levels (along with 9 more) would have resulted in something like a cross between Mega Man and Ghost 'n Goblins. Anyway, file this under "could have been."

That's awesome!

He should do HD versions of all the Lockarm characters.

I remember Game Pro had a similar contest in the early 90's. I think it was the issue that had Phantasie Star II on the cover. Anywhoo, I remember seeing a few entries that looked like they would have made killer games.
